Measuring Smooth Surfaces Resolution


This Instructable provides an outstanding example of how to measure the horizontal resolution of the Ember. While this is very useful for adjacent lines, the resolution for smooth, curved, surfaces behaves a little differently. I am therefore making making a test pattern (somewhat similar to the Air Force one explained in the link.) Picture is below. The idea is to print circles with varying thickness and diameter, and see how the resolution changes with the different parameters.

I wanted to let everyone know here (before I go ahead and make this an stl file) in case anyone feels that I should add other shapes. This is just a very rough draft. Feel free to provide your input, and we can hopefully turn this into a meaningful Instructable that can add on to the ever expanding information out there.
