Calibration: thread slipping

#1

Hi,

I guess I did too many times of calibration. The thread is slipping and the bolt is loose now. Does anyone know how to fix it? Or is there any replacement? Thank you.

I only know a band-aid for the problem. Install a larger washer to back the bolt out. Once that stops working however you are typically out of luck. You could re-bore and tap to a larger diameter bolt.

Scott,

Where would I purchase steel helicoil and which size? Is there specific item you purchased from the web? Please let me know. Thank you so much for your help,

Patrick

I like McMaster Carr personally, but Amazon has them as well. I used a M5 thread.

Heres the link to Amazon.
